Paradise Candles is a luxury brand operated by founder and CEO Rogdericka Ellis (also known as Dricka by family and friends) that began in 2016. Rogdericka was born and raised in New Orleans, La  where she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southern University at New Orleans in Elementary Education in 2019.

Her journey as as a chandler began in 2015 after her struggle to find quality candles that she could trust and rely on. This struggle led her to feeling defeated and cheated, but God has other plans and planned to use her to help others through her creative talents and drive. She's been a fragrance lover and inquirer since she was a little girl, so it made sense why she'd grown to be frustrated with many unreliable and untrustworthy brands. Fragrance always brought her so much joy and peace especially after a long or tough day.

It wasn't until God put a thought in her mind to learn more about the candle making industry that she begun her journey as chandler. In that same year, Rogdericka began creating candles for personal use before offering them to others. After some of her family and friends tried her candles they encouraged her to start selling them to others because they loved them so much. 

Creating clean and toxin free products that people could trust and rely on was always Rogdericka's number one goal. Time, research, practice, effort, patience, growth and faith is what molded Paradise Candles, but her loyal customers (including supportive family and friends) is what made this all possible. Seeing how much joy along with a sense of relief that her candles brought to others was the start of Paradise Candles.

Paradise Candles has since then expanded their product catalog from just candles to now offering a variety of highly requested products such as wax melts, room & linen sprays, and reed diffusers. They have recently journeyed into offering wholesale and private label services to those looking to carry her products in their establishments or start their own home fragrance company.
